Ozone For Hydroponics

Ozone is the perfect tool for the Hydroponic Gardener

Ozone is used in low atmospheric doses in hospital wards, offices, veterinarian rooms, commercial kitchens and factories to keep the air sterile, sterilize surfaces, prevent the spread of airborne pathogens and keep the place insect, odour and mold free. This same technology is perfect in helping any hydroponic grow room yield better, healthier crops.

Sterilizing a Hydroponic Grow Room with 100% Chemical-Free Ozone Gas (while unoccupied) will:

  • Provide Higher Crop Yields (Increase Your Agricultural Output!)
  • Kill Bacteria
  • Kill Mold and Powdery Mold Spores
  • Prevent Bud Rot
  • Kill Spider Mites and all other pest insects and destroys their colonies
  • Kill Mildew
  • Eliminate Microbes, Algae & Root-Born Pathogens
  • Kill Fungi
  • Eliminate Hydrogen Sulphide
  • Permanently Destroy all Odours

Your Natural Solution to a Clean Environment

Ozone is a true sterilizer 3,000 times more effective than chlorine bleach.

Can Sterilize Grow Rooms up to 19,000 cubic ft.

3-6 hour cleaning treatment.

FAQ’s for Ozone and Hydroponics

No! Island Ozone’s Hydroponic Ozone Treatment is intended for “Unoccupied spaces”. People, Pets, AND your Plants must be completely removed from the grow room. The room is then sterilized destroying all the harmful things that can hinder your plant’s full growing potential, and once the Ozone is aired out, all the air in your grow room naturally reverts back to safe O2. Some people attempt to run an ozone generator while their plants are in the grow room, THIS is harmful to your plants. And if your ozone generator is operating at a low-output level that ISN’T harmful to plants, then it’s not doing its job of sterilizing to its full potential. Again the idea is high-output Ozone sterilization for UNOCCUPIED spaces.
Not necessarily. Some cleaning agents you are currently using may very well be beneficial to the routine physical cleaning process but an Ozone Treatment will destroy all airborne, harmful chemicals and anything else that can hinder your plant’s growing potential.
An Ozone Treatment should be the last thing done before you begin growing again. Remove all plants from the room, do all your routine physical cleaning first, place all your tools and things out like scalpels, fans, pruners, screens, pH meters, etc. (because Ozone will sterilize EVERYTHING) and then arrange to get an Ozone Treatment performed.
Yes, but it won’t take care of any physical residue. In THIS case, you may want to get an ozone treatment performed before you go and attack any physical residue.
You could, but the problem is that most Ozone Generators are not only expensive, but require regular maintenance, could be unsafe if not operated properly (or by a professional) and they’re not nearly powerful enough to be fully effective. Island Ozone offers many high-output, industrial Ozone Generators operated by a professional, and takes the worry and hassle and stress off of the Hydroponic Gardener.
Associating Ozone with smog and pollution is a common misconception. Ozone is NOT greenhouse gas. Ozone is a very important part of protecting us, plants and all forms of life on Earth from the sun’s harmful UV Rays. The Scientists are actually concerned about the depletion of our Ozone Layer (too little ozone, not too much ozone)

How Cleaning With Ozone Works

Oxygen in any environment is reactive as O² creating rust or fire, but when it is broken apart into single Oxygen atoms using the coronal discharge method, they recombine to form the extremely unstable and far more reactive element we know as O³, this dissolves the outer membrane of bacteria causing them to pop like a balloon. They cannot adapt to this, or evolve a resistance over successive generations, like many have done in our hospitals with their resistance to chlorine and other toxic chemicals.
